Your Mission

The finance manager oversees the full range of finance, controlling and accounting operations.

Your Responsibilities / What You'll Do

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
    • Create and maintain a company-wide cost plan
    • Coordinate, create and maintain along with Sales and other departments a revenue forecast 
    • Create and maintain a cash flow plan 
    • Oversee our business plan and continuously compare plan vs. actuals 
  • Finance Business Partner / Controlling 
    • Set-up an integrated cost management system
    • Support leadership in preparation of board meeting and other investor meetings
    • Provide ad-hoc financial analyses to leadership 
    • Develop financial analyses and models to advise business and project decisions
    • Challenge project proposals from a financial perspective 
  • Accounting 
    • Communicate with tax accountants on an ongoing basis
    • Prepare bills and other documents for tax accountant together with our office manager
    • Ensure management of accounts receivables and payable together with customer success
    • Managing bank accounts and conducting all bank payments 
    • Ensuring with tax accountant timely creation of annual financial statements
    • Set-up and maintain sales/billing controlling
    • Note: bookkeeping not required

Your Profile / What You'll Need

  • 2+ years relevant work experience, ideally in a generalist finance role in a start-up or SME environment
  • Degree in finance/accounting or a similar field
  • Highly fluent in the language of P&Ls, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flows
  • You feel comfortable talking Accounting with Accountants
  • Good knowledge of German HGB standards
  • Excellent knowledge of spreadsheet software; experience with BI tools (e.g. Tableau) a plus
  • Very good eye for detail; methodological working style 
  • You are a good communicator; experience in managing stakeholders
  • Fluent in German and excellent English language skills
