What you will do:

  • Work from brief to implementation of email block components in close collaboration with designers, copywriters, and campaign managers to ensure all aspects of HTML emails conform to the Klarna vision.
  • Engage with and contribute to continuous work with overall campaign development and innovation.
  • This role will be split between email HTML, CSS, and mobile responsive coding and versioning emails to support new content releases.
  • Work daily with email, copy and design teams to support planned campaigns.
  • Understand brand and email guidelines, available assets and develop communications to support both daily & lifecycle emails.
  • Work with team leadership to learn and apply best practices.
  • Drive the development team to use new and better technology.
  • Create best-practices standards and documentation.
  • Assist the creative teams to push boundaries on design possibilities.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure alignment with teams on campaign & product assets

Required Technical Skills:

  • 1-3+ years writing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Strong HTML coding skills required, adhering to email & industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of coding HTML tables required.
  • Knowledge of email optimization best practices & design standards to optimize across devices required.
  • Strong experience with Image and HTML Coding Optimization for email.
  • Experience with style sheet languages (SASS or LESS) and HTML template syntax.
  • Strong understanding of adaptive and responsive coding techniques within the email space.
  • Strong sense of visual design with an eye for aesthetics.
  • Comfortable with source version control software.
  • Advanced knowledge of:Email platform/client limitations and workaroundsMedia queries and mobile-specific coding.
  • Experience from Sketch, Braze, and Taxi for email or other tools for building email is an advantage.

  • Nice to have:
  • Experience with AMP for email.
  • Experience with content injection.
