Strategy & Growth - Intern (M&A)

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an M&A intern, you will help to develop, drive, and implement a roll-up strategy for asset-light freight forwarders across Continental Europe. You will play a key role in projects along the entire M&A lifecycle, starting from target sourcing and deal structuring to post-acquisition integration. Your daily tasks will include, but not limited to, evaluation and execution of M&A transactions, focus on a scalable integration roadmap, mastering communication towards all stakeholders, and helping to build one company.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL 

  • Identify, source and evaluate M&A and other investment opportunities
  • Review and track the relevant market and industry trends
  • Write, review and perform supporting research for business cases 
  • Participate in cross-functional due diligence and post-merger integration exercises
  • Perform financial modelling, valuation and other financial analyses
  • Take part in the development of detailed strategic recommendations for sennder‘s C-level and other senior management members
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business and the industry by performing a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses

PREFERABLY YOU HAVE 

  • First internship experience in investment banking/M&A, corporate development, strategy consulting with a focus on PE/CD, private equity or venture capital
  • Availability for Q2 '22 onwards
  • Outstanding analytical skills, structured way of thinking and attention to details
  • Extremely proactive, self-starter mentality with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment 
  • Bachelor of top-tier university and excellent English communication skills, both written and oral (German is not a requirement)
  • Passion for Logistics is very welcomed!
