As a Finance BI Engineer you will work in the Finance Operational BI team which has end-to-end responsibility for supporting Finance with designing, building, and maintaining accounting data services including reporting, data warehousing, data integrations, and real-time data and business solutions.

What you’ll get to do;

  • Our Finance data engineers will most often be involved in designing, building, and running data pipelines, designing and implementing models within a data warehouse, and presenting data through various presentation techniques.
  • Our team primarily works with SAP HANA and SAP BW for real-time reporting on S/4, SAP AFI and data integrations. We also do integrations and work with several other different data technologies including Amazon Redshift, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL, Kafka, and more.
  • Your stakeholders will be Finance, Accountants, Business Analysts, other Engineers building insights within Finance, and all Klarna employees that need financial data in their daily work. We have amazing teams that take care of and become experts at different parts of the domain where sharing and collaboration are key.
  • Some of the technologies and languages we use are SQL (SAP HANA, Amazon Redshift, PostgreSQL), HANA Calculation View modeling, SAP BW (Business Warehouse), SAP ABAP CDS Views, SAP ABAP, SAP S/4, and SAP Analytics Cloud. We are always looking for the most efficient tools for the job and welcome adopting others if they are a good fit!

Who you are;

  • You are an experienced database engineer who has excellent SQL skills that can help our team integrate with data into and out of our systems. 
  • Klarna is looking for ambitious people with significant drive! You should be passionate about your job and enjoy a fast paced international working environment. You will play an important role in taking Klarna to the next level thus, you should desire to go above and beyond to produce best work results! You should have;

  • Very good SQL skills and experience working with multiple different database and data technologies such as Amazon Redshift, PostgreSQL, SAP HANA, SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office, SAP Analytics Cloud, MS SQL, Qlik Sense
  • Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
  • Relevant education with a degree in engineering or comparable skills
  • A burning curiosity and interest in financial data, data streaming, data governance, data models, data warehouse, data insights - or all of the above!
