Would you like to work with some of the biggest brands in the world? Klarna’s payment options are available at retail clients including H&M, ASOS, Adidas, Apple, Disney, Ticketmaster and many more. Klarna is looking for a seasoned marketer to join the central strategy team and help driving the success of marketing with partners in Norther- and central Europe.

Within Klarna, our responsibility is to ensure we become true partners to our merchants and a catalyst for boosting their growth and profitability. Successful candidates will possess the ability to combine creativity and business acumen in order to elevate Klarna’s proposition towards consumers in partnership with our biggest clients. 

The role requires a deep understanding of the Klarna brand, our payment options and shoppers in order to develop the right strategy and plans to accelerate Klarna use at the retail checkout.

What you will do

  • Working in the central strategy team closely with commercial, analytical and legal team members responsible for defining and driving the success in Northern and Central Europe.
  • Making sure the teams in the Nordic and central European countries have the tools and support they need to solve challenged and deliver on their plans.
  • Shaping winning value propositions for our partners and consumers.
  • Building and executing joint agreed business & marketing plans with the teams and Partners to drive mutual growth and success. This includes consumer-facing placements across the full shopper journey from driving traffic, to acquisition and conversion - even being in-store and transacting
  • Participating in formal bids and pitches, working together with key stakeholders across Klarna (e.g. marketing, pricing, underwriting, legal etc.)
  • Working with Finance & Analytics to monitor Partner and the teams’ performance
  • Acting as a marketing consultant in shopping and e-commerce, internally and externally.

You are

  • You have +10 years of experience in consumer, and/or (online) retail marketing. 
  • You have exceptional creative, problem solving and strategic thinking ability
  • Team oriented and highly resourceful - ‘Can do’ and ‘Willing to do what it takes’ attitude
  • You are ruthless in delivering results on time and with the highest standards
  • You have a growth mindset and understand how to collaborate to achieve collective outcomes.
  • You are structured by nature and like to set and personally work to measurable goals.
  • You’re passionate about your job and enjoy fast-paced international working environments.
  • You are obsessed with understanding your clients' and customers’ needs and identify mutual opportunities to develop both our partners and Klarna’s business.  

You should have

  • Exceptional marketing strategic and creative ability.
  • Strong business acumen - the ability to critically analyze and interpret data independently, supported as required by analysts.
  • Strong digital marketing experience
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills.

Extra awesome if you have

  • Agency experience, which is a plus as pitching your solution to identified problems is key in this position
