Your Tasks
- You will be part of our innovative Interior team, actively and responsibly shaping a future where every car is electric and shared
- Responsibility for the design and development of Interior System components for Sono Motors vehicles from concept through production including completion the release of Interior Systems for concept, design and production phases
- Research, benchmark, establish and achieve targets for performance, quality, cost, investment, time and weight
- Develop interior systems according to Failure Mode Avoidance and 6-Sigma workstreams and ensure that all geometric requirements for milestones are analyzed and met
- Creation of interior dimensional and ergonomic targets, as well as benchmarks and boundary books for part interfaces and clearances, and creation of 3D and 2D data layouts including GD&T, attachment strategies, and conceptual design surfaces
- Write requirements, performance specifications, design rules and DVP&Rs, as well as literature research and document existing and in-trend tooling and production methodoligies
- Manage internal resources, interface with suppliers, and collaborate with all Sono Motors organizations, and manage system, subsystem, and component information in PLM/PDM system
- Maintain EBOMs and manage data releases in accordance with program milestones and targets, and create engineering deliverable checklists for tool kick-off
Our Requirements
- Technical degree such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or vehicle engineering or comparable engineering studies
- 12+ years of experience in a similar position with the above mentioned tasks in automotive Interior development
- Minimum 2 vehicle launch experience from concept phase to market launch
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle seating system design and development from concept to production
- Proficiency with standard 3D CAD software, preferably CATIA V5 and/or V6 and working knowledge of regulatory and certification requirements
- Ability to self-direct and adapt quickly to program changes
- Fluent in English (German is a Plus) and very good knowledge of the relevant Microsoft tools
- Sustainability is close to your heart, you like to swim in the open ocean and stand by your successes and mistakes
