If your background is in software engineering and you want to lean into architecting and working with engineering teams to provide early input and hands-on code development to address the application security aspects when building web services and APIs, this role is for you.

What you'll get to do

  • Help design hard-to-break applications and services.
  • Provide training in secure development practices.
  • Take an active role in architectural decisions.
  • Deliver Threat Modeling assessments and training.
  • Work with engineering teams and enjoy driving security improvements.
  • Provide engineering teams the means to identify, quantify and fix potential security flaws.
  • Build tooling to support Threat Modeling and other security driven initiatives.
  • Have fun, learn and share your knowledge and expertise while doing so.

To succeed in this role, we think you should have

  • Strong relationships building skills.
  • Effective communication skills that engage your audience.
  • A pragmatic approach to solving security issues in ways that achieve the best effect.
  • Experience in providing practical solutions enabling development teams.
  • Experience in securing microservice architectures.
  • Experience with building custom tools, preferably in Python or NodeJS.
  • Experience in reviewing JavaScript (NodeJS, React) or Java projects.
  • Experience and understanding of cloud, particularly AWS, and modern tech stacks.
  • Great problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience leading teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Working proficiency in English.
