The role of a Working Student/Intern - Technical Writing is to assist the technical documentation team by updating our NavVis tech docs following the software release cycle, reviewing the changes with Design & Engineering, incorporating them into the documentation, and publishing them to our NavVis portal. The role will provide you with essential content and customer success experience working with a high-performing team.

You will work on:

  • Supporting our team of technical writers in delivering documentation for our hardware and software products
  • Migrating existing documentation to a new platform
  • Rewriting existing documentation in a minimalist style
  • Taking screenshots and screencasts to show how to use our products
  • Supporting translation management workflows

You have:

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, any other language is a plus
  • The ability to breakdown complex subject matters while keeping the focus on the end-user perspective and customer needs
  • A willingness to learn how to use the technical writing software, Heretto
  • Excellent communication and listening skills 
  • The ability to proactively seek help from our subject matter experts to understand our products.

You are:

  • Enrolled student (m/f/d) at a university in technical writing, engineering, or related education background
  • Available for ideally a minimum of 6 months
  • Interested in a future career as a technical writer in the tech industry,
  • Wanting to learn minimalist, task-based technical writing, how to format and publish documentation, and the basics of DITA XML and Content Management Systems (CMS)
