We are focused on bottom-up adoption, and most of our software is open-source. We have a vibrant community on Slack and Github - with over 40,000 members on Slack - where we regularly engage with the Prisma community.

What you will do

You will contribute to all of Prisma’s content, building and maintaining out the sites and content infrastructure.To accomplish those goals, you’ll work with the latest technologies like Gatsby, Next.js and TypeScript. You’ll also focus on finding ways to make the content interactive in order to make the sites more friendly and useful for readers. You will be working within the Prisma Marketing Team and directly with our Product, Design and Content teams who will provide you with the resources you need to build the websites successfully.
 
Some examples of the types of project you can expect to work on include:
  • Prisma Website (prisma.io): Our primary company and product website with all of the pages contained therein, including the creation of new pages that will be required in the future.
  • Prisma Docs (prisma.io/docs): a large static site that is updated daily by Prisma technical writers. 

About you

The following points are plusses, but please do apply even if you don’t fulfil every single one:
  • 3+ years JavaScript experience
  • Experience with or exposure to working with React, and TypeScript
  • Experience dealing directly with various stakeholders
  • Experience with executing website builds on your own from start to finish with minimal or no supervision
  • Experience with developing websites for optimal usability, accessibility and performance.
  • Excitement about developer learning, docs, and content
  • You can communicate fluently in English and can express your thoughts clearly in writing
  • You enjoy working closely with your peers and proactively seek to help others
  • You seek feedback early and often and am not afraid to ask for help
  • You appreciate the value of planning and task estimation

Bonus

  • Familiarity with Gatsby and/or NextJS.

Remote Work

We are a remote-first organisation with an office based in Berlin, Germany. Whether you would like to work remotely, or from the office in Berlin is up to you! We are open to discussing relocation assistance if you would like to join us in Berlin.

What is the process like?

Our recruitment process roughly follows the structure below:

  • Introductory call with the Talent Acquisition Team
  • Hiring Manager Interview with our Head of Marketing
  • Technical Team Interview with our Web Development Lead
  • Take Home Assignment followed by a Panel Debrief (with compensation)
  • Offer

References: Once you have signed your offer and have given us permission, we would like to collect some references from your previous manager and a team member to provide us with more context regarding your working style and improve our onboarding process.
