UI/UX Designer

In Yilu, we need a UI/UX Designer to work closely with the engineering, product, UX research, business, and commerce teams to help us create a component-based UI design system, with atomic design principles.

You, the UI/UX Designer gather user requirements to design web and mobile applications and build navigation components. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools. If you have a portfolio of professional design projects and an interest in reusable, systematic, component-based UI development.

You’ll carry concepts through every stage of our design process such as information. Working directly with our engineers, you will deliver product specs and design assets, and contribute to the big picture of product vision in collaboration with the rest of the team.

What you'll be working on
- Design reusable UI components, based upon Atomic Design principles
- Work alongside Stakeholders, UX Research, Commerce, Product, and Engineering in an agile environment.
- Prepare, present, and defend your designs to internal teams, external clients, and key stakeholders.
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and other design artifacts in a clean, well structured, and easily navigable format using Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, Abstract, or other relevant tools and coach less experienced designers in the same.
- Conduct user interviews and compile data gained from these activities to test design iterations and ideas.
- Be a team player with strong analytical skills to understand and translate business requirements to system UI/UX requirements.
- Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in both technical and business environments.

What you'll bring along
- 4+ years of professional experience as a UI Designer
- 1+ year(s) of UX design experience
- Strong portfolio to be presented and defended during the interview.
- Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc.
- Experience using tools such as Figma, AdobeXD, Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, InVision, UXPin, Quartz.
- Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3 Javascript.
- Creative ideas with a problem solving mindset.
- Experience working in an agile/scrum development process.
- Be open to receiving objective criticism and improving upon it.
