As part of the Trade Marketing team, you’ll play a key role in bringing the SumUp brand to 3,000+ stores all over Europe. We’re an enthusiastic group of people nested within the Retail Acquisition channel. Our role is to develop new product solutions for 100+ different retailers in Consumer Electronics, Cash & Carry, Office Supply and other verticals, define and measure our in-store execution and design winning promotional strategies. Together, we devise innovative strategies to boost SumUp’s availability and rotation at store level. We’re looking for a Trade Marketing Manager to help us drive our aggressive expansion strategy, improve our portfolio offering, increase rotation at store level and capture unique market opportunities in the retail channel.

What you’ll do

• Develop and deploy relevant packaging, display, communication and promotion strategies that are aligned with our Retail growth vision.
• Lead new product development (NPD) and portfolio management for the Retail channel for a number of key initiatives. 
• Deploy and locally align with Business Development Managers (BDMs) our Perfect Store execution framework, focused on the UK, DACH and BENELUX regions. 
• Lead and continuously improve the relationship between SumUp and merchandiser agencies from the UK, DACH and BENELUX regions.
• Support and closely collaborate with the UK, DACH and BENELUX BDMs in order to maximise marketing and trade marketing plans impact, as well as capture additional commercial opportunities across these markets. 
• Define, negotiate, prioritise and execute the annual trade marketing budget, maximising return on investment.
• Closely collaborate with the Marketing, Hardware, Supply and Design teams in a variety of different cross-functional projects.

You’ll be great for this role if

• You have 3+ years of full-time experience in a trade marketing or retail environment, preferably in consumer electronic or Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). Any other sales experience is a nice to have.
• You are proficient in English (advanced). An additional European language is a plus.
• You are highly skilled in project management, with great focus in terms of delivering projects on time, on strategy and on budget.
• You have demonstrated experience developing and implementing marketing and/or trade marketing strategies in a retail environment.
• You are a shopper-oriented person, that can put our merchants at the centre of our decisions.
• You’re passionate about great store execution and experience. 
• You like dynamic scenarios, new problems and working with different people all the time.
• You see problems as opportunities, quickly switching to solution-mode rather than playing blame games.
