Senior Business Development Manager, Scaled Spot

As a senior business development manager you will join our exciting new scaled spot team and help us accelerate our growth by leveraging our sennder tools to develop our shippers through flawless operational execution & top customer service skills. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL 

  • Grow the accounts by managing and defining shipper strategies with market trends in mind, owning and growing a large portfolio of accounts
  • Manage customer relationships by unlocking and testing new shippers with high opportunity potential across both currently active and new markets
  • Provide accurate pricing based on current market conditions for Spot opportunities
  • Drive performance by managing the metrics of your respective accounts, with a focus on achieving high revenue at a positive profit and margin
  • Drive strategy and collaboration with different teams across the business to target favourable lanes and match acquired volume with our active carrier base 
  • Negotiate with customers to find the optimal solution for both sides

PREFERABLY YOU HAVE

  • Proven experience in road freight forwarding operations / logistics, at least 2 years (a must)
  • Knowledge of the European freight market
  • A problem-solving mindset and the ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently in a high-paced start-up environment
  • A result-oriented mindset, self-starter with a hands-on working methodology
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Google Sheets or Looker (a plus)
  • Fluency in German and English (a must), other European languages are a plus
