Software Quality Engineer

At Yilu - the first start-up founded by the Lufthansa Group - we want to change the way people travel. Our goal is to revolutionise the entire travel process, from the point of departure to the final destination, to provide customers with a connected, convenient and enjoyable experience while creating new growth opportunities for travel companies. To achieve this, we are developing a smart end-to-end travel platform that connects selected travel, mobility and service providers along the travel chain.  

In Yilu, we need a SQE to work closely with the Agile Factory teams to define the quality standard of Yilu’s digital products. The mission of the SQE is to ensure our customers' experience with our product is beyond exceptional. The ideal candidate is an exceptionally organized, methodical professional with the experience necessary to take our products to the next level with respect to accuracy, security, and safety. You will be charged with developing a complete QA program that not only safeguards the quality of our products, but also fosters a “quality culture,” in which all employees become actively engaged in guaranteeing quality in both production and the finished product.

What you’ll be working on
- Guiding the team's Quality Program, build their quality artifacts, and lead the change to mature and strengthen their automation frameworks.
- Building partnerships with many other teams, such as our SRE team to make sure our builds have the right testing coverage.
- Being responsible for reporting on quality metrics and picking out the right KPIs to determine the health of our product.
- Verifying that the outputs (metrics and numbers) released by the Analytics products are not only correct, but useful and understandable from the customers viewpoint.
- Ensure product/feature launch readiness - write release notes and convey changes to stakeholders (Projects, Knowledge and Support) to support a smooth transition to live and operations.

What you’ll bring along

- A proven track record of a strong DevOps or QA experience
- Strong knowledge of industry software quality methodologies, tools and processes.
-Experience in building comprehensive integration tests for server side applications/services / RESTful APIs/GraphQL.
- Expertise of a Front End automation framework such as Selenium or Cypress.io.
-Experience utilizing CI/CD pipelines.
-HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python knowledge is desired
-Customer focused and strong attention to detail.-
- Comfortable in dealing with large sets of data

It’s great if you also have:
- Experience validating data within both a relational (ex: PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (ex: Elasticsearch).
- Experience with data generation and data warehousing.
-Experience with data analytic tools such as Looker or Tableau.
