SOC Analyst

As part of the Security Operations Center team, you will be at the front line of our defense against security threats helping keep N26 customers' bank accounts safe by detecting and responding to any threat in our cloud and on-premise infrastructure. 

We are seeking a passionate Security Analyst to manage our security incidents response and strategically anticipate future threats against our infrastructure.

You will collaborate with engineers and analysts to identify signals and processes that can be leveraged to improve our threat detections at scale. 

In this role, you will:

• Use monitoring tools to detect and respond to security alerts.

• Design and build automation for our security incident detection and response processes

• Establish guidelines, standards and runbooks for our teams to respond to incidents and alerts.

• Work with engineering teams to increase our log coverage and visibility. 

• Perform reactive incident response when a security event occurs.

• Perform threat hunting to proactively  detect new attack vectors

What you need to be successful:

• Having good knowledge about IT security domains

• Familiarity with host-based and network-based intrusion detection systems.

• Experience working with SIEMs and familiarity with log formats

• Familiar with the challenges of monitoring and  processing security events at scale.

• Having analytic skills to work with data in large scale and find abnormalities Understanding of Linux and ability to write shell scripts.

• Knowledge of vulnerability management

Nice to haves: 

• Software engineering experience in at least one of the following languages: Java, Kotlin, Go, Python.

• Understanding of cloud environments (ideally AWS).
