Senior Trade Marketing Manager - Northern Europe

As part of the Trade Marketing team, you’ll play a key role in bringing the SumUp brand to 4,000+ stores across Northern Europe. We’re an enthusiastic group of people nested within the Retail Acquisition channel. Our role is to develop new product solutions for 150+ different retailers in Consumer Electronics, Cash & Carry, Office Supply and other verticals, define and measure our in-store execution and design winning promotional strategies. Together, we devise innovative strategies to boost SumUp’s availability and rotation at store level. We’re looking for a Senior Trade Marketing Manager to help us drive our aggressive expansion strategy within Northern Europe, improve our shopper understanding and capture unique market opportunities in the retail space. 

What you’ll do

  • Define and execute trade marketing strategies for the UK, Benelux and Nordics markets, including best-in-class execution and optimal physical availability of SumUp in the consumer electronics retailers
  • Define tactical and annual plans for A-customers in collaboration with the Business Develop Managers (BDMs)
  • Ensure regular project management setup for key execution initiatives (ie. Solo launch, Shop-in-Shop, store clerks training, Perfect Store Scorecard, etc)
  • Support and closely collaborate with the UK, Benelux, and Nordics BDMs in order to maximise marketing and trade marketing plans impact, as well as capture additional commercial opportunities across these markets. 
  • Train and guide other trade marketing colleagues in best practice use of business processes and systems 

You’ll be great for this role if

  • You have 6+ years of full-time experience in a trade marketing, preferably in FMCG or Consumer Electronics and working with UK, Benelux or Nordic markets
  • You are highly skilled in project management, with great focus in terms of delivering projects on time, on strategy and on budget.
  • You have demonstrated experience developing and implementing trade marketing strategies and effective tactical plans in a retail environment.
  • You have excellent communication skills and the capacity to deal effectively with different stakeholders.
  • You like dynamic scenarios, new problems and working with multidisciplinary teams all the time.
