We are looking for a curious, proactive, and passionate Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in computer vision. Are you ready to drive your own projects and put your top-notch skills into action? You will work on:

  • The NavVis Positioning system - the world's most advanced visual positioning technology
  • The connection of visual positioning and visual tracking technologies to enable augmented reality at very large scale
  • Our carefully selected combination of deep neural network and projective geometry based algorithms for visual pose estimation
  • Cross-team collaboration, especially with our mobile software engineers building NavVis IVION Go for iOS and Android

You have:

  • A Master's degree or PhD in computer science or a similar field, ideally with a specialization in computer vision
  • Solid understanding of projective geometry concepts such as Essential & Fundamental Matrix, Perspective n-Point Problem, or Visual SLAM - and experience with related algorithms
  • Several years of hands-on experience with professional software development (ideally using modern C++ or Python)
  • The drive to stay up-to-date on latest advances in computer vision and software development
  • A preference for systematic data-driven experimentation and technology development

You are:

  • Passionate about clean code and elegant software design
  • Eager to develop using modern toolchains and processes
  • Interested in working with multiple platforms and software stacks
  • Keen to find efficient solutions to challenging problems

We will be thrilled if you have:

  • Experience in machine learning for computer vision
  • A knack for math, especially linear algebra and optimization
  • Worked with the STL and C++11 and newer
  • Experience with software development on Linux
  • Experience in Test Driven Development
  • Experience in mobile app development (esp. using ARKit/ARCore)
  • Interest in functional programming paradigms
