The Workplace team is on a mission to provide best in class services, tools and spaces for all Personio employees. As a Senior Real Estate Development Manager, you will play a key role in this mission and will be responsible for the delivery of business critical design and build projects across several locations ranging in size and complexity. For this position we can also offer the working locations Munich, Madrid or London.

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Strategic input into the selection of all Interior design consultants, architects, engineers and other key partners.
  • Develop, manage and lead cross-functional project teams towards strategic goals.
  • Define & Manage project scope and coordination of all pre-construction activities including conceptual design and preliminary design development, program and documents/specification review and schedule development ensuring, at all times, adherence to the overall project aspirations.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with team members while maintaining a clear sense of direction and leadership.
  • Manage and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders and peers. 
  • Track and present project updates and innovative solutions with Workplace and Executive Leadership.
  • Partner with the workplace operations team to collect and evaluate workplace usage data to inform future office designs. 
  • Establish and maintain standardised processes and documentation. 
  • Management of approved budgets, monitor and forecast expenses for multiple projects.
  • Partner with Finance & Accounting to report project cash flow and other required financials.
  • Deliver projects on time and on budget

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (Interior Design, Project Management, Architecture, Construction Mgmt
    etc.)
  • Proven track record in the successful delivery of multiple projects across multiple locations.
  • Proven track record in people management and leading cross functional teams.
  • Strong commercial design knowledge of new and emerging trends and ability to provide insight on innovative solutions and think outside of the box. 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively with c-suite, board members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to make strategic decisions and lead/sponsor complex change programmes.
  • Ability to travel as necessary 
  • Fluency in English, fluency in German is a plus
