About the role 
As a Senior Manager within the Acceleration & M&A team, you will be responsible for providing accounting expertise and insights and supporting financial and strategic analysis on commercial transactions, acquisitions and other business development opportunities.  You will also be expected to support valuations and due diligence activities.Viewed as a key SME within the Acceleration & M&A team you will play a key role in supporting transactions and business development activities and coordinating with Klarna’s Group accounting and reporting teams.

As a Senior Finance Manager within the Acceleration & M&A team, you will…

  • Be responsible for providing accounting expertise, supporting financial analysis, strategic evaluations and due diligence of acquisitions, commercial transactions and business development opportunities
  • Advise management on key accounting considerations impacting transactions and proposed deal structures, including considerations relating to financial results, capital and tax.
  • Lead coordination and communication with Group finance teams, including; Accounting and Reporting, Tax, Treasury and Financial Steering teams.  Working closely with Finance Domain leads to establish effective routines, including pre-signing dependencies and sign to close deliverables.
  • Manage PPA accounting process for acquisitions, appointing and managing valuation specialists where required and delivering comprehensive PPA memos, with appropriate hand-offs to Group Accounting teams. 
  • Support wider Go to Market commercial expansion activities as required, providing finance and accounting expertise to market and product expansion initiatives.
  • Manage post close financial deliverables, including tracker deferred consideration (incl accounting assessments)

Desirable Experience & Skills

  • Extensive experience in finance and accounting roles (10+ years), ideally with experience within the financial services industry.
  • Proven technical accounting capability, including M&A and commercial transactions
  • Ability to interact with cross functional teams, able to articulate complex information in a clear, concise manner and to challenge and develop ideas and record of working collaboratively and proactively to address emerging issues and deliver solutions.
  • Ability to engage, influence and build credibility across diverse stakeholder groups across a decentralised international and matrixed environment. 
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Our official company language is English.
  • Relevant certifications -. CFA/CPA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent
