Your tasks

WorkGenius provides the only end-to-end technology solution to source, manage and pay freelancers. 40% of the US workforce will be set to be freelancing by 2025 and only 8% of organizations have the technology to manage them. The company was founded in Hamburg, Germany and expanded to the US with offices in NYC in 2017.

We are growing fast in the United States and looking to bring on an experienced Senior Director of Sales to sit in our NYC office. This role will report into the CEO and requires a successful track record in sales, employee management, and hitting revenue targets within a startup environment - ideally in the software space.

  • Lead our U.S. Enterprise/Mid-Market Sales team selling into enterprises, and execute on tasks such as identifying core customers and identifying new verticals. Build-out and manage a high performing sales team, currently 4 AEs, 1 SDRM and 10 SDRs in place. 
  • Be the lead for all sales initiatives and take on a player/coach role with their team to grow the team's efficiency and help foster a winning culture.
  • Create a highly efficient state-of-the-art SaaS sales process, become an expert of our technology and be responsible for staying up to date on the latest trends in the space, and for ensuring our sales team is highly effective with their day to day work and attending the latest events in their verticals.

What we expect

Must have at least 8+ years of experience in sales and have held the positions of an SDR/AE in the past.
  • Must have experience selling in a startup environment - track record of hitting high revenue targets.
  • Must have a strong track record in software sales with experience managing SDRs and AEs.
  • Must have experience with sales workflows and sales tools including salesloft, zoominfo, and salesforce.
  • Extensive and proven track record in building and executing on a sales process.
  • Experience creating and executing outbound strategies.
  • Great leadership skills - you are a great mentor and understand how to build leaders.
  • You lead by example and share our values of caring, reliability, respect, ship-it and self-development.
