Senior Data Engineer - Merchant Success

Our products are used by millions of small merchants to process payments in over 33 countries worldwide. As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in both setting the foundation and building intelligent solutions that allow our merchants to seamlessly use our products. We envision a future in which our merchants will rarely have to contact us to have an issue addressed, and you’ll enable us to achieve this through a well architected infrastructure that powers sophisticated analytics and machine learning models in production.

What you’ll do

• Develop data stores and reliable ETL pipelines to meet throughput, validation, and latency needs.
• Design, build and deploy systems that provide data scientists with relevant data to develop the models used for predictive analytics.
• Work within a cross-functional team to deliver and evolve predictive models end-to-end.
• Build tooling to ensure model interpretability and provide clear performance metrics for a range of stakeholders.
• Deepen your knowledge of warehousing, ETL, training, validation, model deployment and monitoring.

You’ll be great for this position if

• You have 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering - it’s a plus if you came from backend development.
• You have solid AWS knowledge – applied Infrastructure as code concept in practise.
• You have some working experience with Terraform, Packer and Vault or similar tools.
• You have broad knowledge of Python.
• You’re familiar with job schedulers such as Airflow.
• You have proven experience with CI/CD, monitoring and alerting. 
• You have experience with the Hadoop ecosystem.
• You have a DevOps mindset.
