Senior Change Management and Internal Communications Lead

About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Change Management and Internal Communications Lead to join N26’s Global Communications Team.  

Our team is made up of industry specialists of 7 nationalities based across Europe and the US, responsible for both internal and external communications for N26 across our international offices. 

This individual will be responsible for building and executing an internal communications strategy for N26, working with leaders and managers across the business to build connection, belonging and engagement across our 1,500-strong international workforce as our business continues to grow, scale and evolve.  

In this role, you will:

  • Define and execute a long-term internal communications strategy as well as  creative and dynamic employee engagement campaigns
  • Conceptualize and deliver key internal communications projects and initiatives to inform, engage and inspire our diverse global workforce across all markets
  • Work closely with the executive leadership team to engage employees around our company culture and values and support them in engaging with and communicating to their teams
  • Oversee, evaluate and optimize N26’s internal communications channels to evolve as we grow as an organization
  • Steer the communications approach for key moments of change and transformation across the organization
  • Champion communication best practices by creating toolkits, comms resources and training modules, partnering with leaders and managers in the organization to inform and engage their teams effectively
  • Build a culture of open feedback, diversity and inclusion across the company
  • Establish close and trusted relationships with both employees and members of the executive leadership team from across the N26 business as a key point of contact for internal communications
  • Collaborate closely with our external communications teams to align key communications priorities and relevant messaging

What you need to be successful:

Background: 

  • Completed Bachelor degree studies in a relevant domain, eg. Communications, Business Management, Human Resources, Social Sciences or related
  • 8+ years of experience in internal communications or change management, managing an internal communications function in a multinational organization

Skills: 

  • Strong stakeholder manager able to influence and advise at a senior level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, other languages a plus
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and be able to deal with ambiguity and handle sensitive situations
  • Adaptable and flexible leader that is quick to assess and adjust to change with a solutions-minded approach
  • Digital native with experience in managing communications to a large and diverse audience across multiple channels and platforms
  • Proven track record in translating business strategy and vision into easily understandable and effective employee communications
  • Experience and qualification in change management & change communications
  • Working experience in Germany a plus
