The Role

Become part of our small but strong Finance & Legal team and support taking Accounting at  Personio to a best-in-class level! We are building lean and scalable accounting processes and ensure Personio’s financial stability.
For our international expansion, we are looking for a seasoned Senior Accountant International.

Big job? Not for you! You are ready to take up the challenge and assume the following areas of responsibility at Personio:

  • Establishment and further development of accounting processes in Spain, UK, Ireland and alignment with the standards at German headquarters
  • Secure handling of transfer prices in daily business operations
  • Ensuring the quality of accounting and continuous optimization of our financial processes
  • Collaboration in various projects on the topics of digitization of processes, compliance, corporate governance and implementation of legal changes
  • Main contact person for colleagues and external service providers such as tax consultants, auditors and accountants in questions of international tax legislation and (payroll) accounting

Consolidation

  • Strategic and operative implementation of the intercompany setup for the entire Personio Group (currently Germany, Spain, UK, Ireland; especially intercompany reconciliation, operative application of transfer prices) 
  • Carrying out internal group reconciliations with foreign subsidiaries/ permanent establishments
  • Responsibility for the consolidation and for the consolidated financial statements

IFRS

  • Preparation, establishment and operational implementation of the transition from HGB to IFRS accounting as well as ongoing accounting in accordance with IFRS 
  • Mapping of any business transactions according to IFRS
  • Preparation and execution of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (IFRS)

What you need to succeed

  • You have an university degree in business administration (majoring in accounting, auditing) or completed training as a qualified accountant or qualified accountant international (CINA, ACCA)
  • You have at least 7 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, financial accounting or auditing
  • You are an expert in IFRS and consolidation 
  • You bring in very good knowledge in tax law
  • You can set up, push and track projects by yourself
  • A good understanding of the accounting regulations according to HGB (German local GAAP) and other local GAAP such as Spanish, Irish and UK would be an advantage
  • You have good knowledge in handling Excel/ Google Sheets 
  • Ideally you have worked with common ERP systems like Navision, Oracle or SAP
  • You think ahead, are proactive and able to communicate the relevance of proper accounting to your colleagues
  • You distinguish yourself through a precise and extremely careful working method
  • You want to take responsibility and develop yourself
  • You speak fluent English and ideally have a very good knowledge of German. Spanish is an advantage
