Sales Associate Intern

As a POS Sales Associate for the DACH region, you’ll become part of SumUp's first internal startup: the Point of Sale team. We’re growing an entirely separate software-as-a-service (SaaS) business around a Point of Sale Register product for our European markets. You’ll join an interdisciplinary team solving problems around the topics of lead generation, sales, operations, logistics, customer experience and marketing – with the aim of making this enterprise thrive.

What you’ll do

• Get in touch with inbound leads in the DACH region and identify prospects’ Point of Sale needs via phone
• Set appointments and qualify leads, while helping in managing our Salesforce pipeline
• Become an ambassador for SumUp and build strong relationships with our customers by being their friendly, caring and proactive first point of contact
• Search for opportunities to improve our customer experience and drive initiatives to optimise the sales process

You’ll be great for this position if

• You’re fluent in German, both spoken and written – conversational English is also necessary for the job.
• You’re empathetic and can develop nourishing relationships with customers and team members.
• You’re an active listener and you intuitively identify your customer’s needs. 
• You’re tech-savvy and eager to learn about our dynamic industry.
• You’re excited to play a key role in achieving team goals.
