Product Design (m/f/d)

Your role

• You are equally motivated by getting your hands dirty and by multiplying yourself
• You drive all phases of product design work: user empathy and need finding, conceptual design, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, usability testing, and delivery
• You work closely with product owners to act as both a source and a sparring partner for ideas and you work closely with our engineering team to support delivery to production
• You are able to take a vision or a rough understanding of a user problem from scratch to a full-scope paper-product
• You are an evangelist for a user-centered design process throughout the company
• You lead ongoing customer and usability research to iterate and improve our product over time
• You create delightful and intuitive user experiences with clean, beautiful, and refined visual designs
• With a mindset of finding people that are even better than you are, you build a team of outstanding UI and UX designers
• You lead your team with lean end-to-end principles

Your profile

• This position requires a proven track record of product design and product design leadership, a deep knowledge of user-centered innovation and design-thinking, and hands-on experience with building products from inception to launch
• You have extensive experience working as a designer with focus on UX for digital products
• You have great instincts for making design decisions, supporting your intuition with the required research and data
• You are familiar with the latest design patterns, trends, and guidelines especially on mobile, yet are not afraid of thinking out-of-the-box when there is reason to deviate from existing best practices
• You enjoy working closely with an engineering team and have done that successfully in the past
• You have experience in user research and validation
• You have excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate your ideas to a variety of stakeholders
• You genuinely care about small businesses, the people who run them, and solving the particular problems they face
• You have strong verbal and written English language skills; good German skills are an additional advantage
