Principal Product Designer

We are looking for a Principal Product Designer to join the Product Design team in our Berlin office . The Principal Product Designer should be responsible in partnering closely with Design and Product Leaders to set the design vision and direction for the portfolio or further initiatives, raise the visual and interaction design quality and get teams working together in a way that makes great products.

What will you do as a Principal Designer as scoutbee

  • Work closely with the head of design to shape Product Design’s vision, strategy and objectives, to set design KPIs and to keep evaluating the business impact of design approaches. 
  • Invest time with designers at earlier stages of their career to mentor them and provide detailed, well-considered, solution-oriented reviews.
  • Leverage qualitative and quantitative research data to identify opportunities for unmet needs for scoutbee products.
  • Frame medium to long-term, high-level design evolution and concepts across products and initiatives.
  • Craft concepts and bring them to life by iteratively improving them with evaluation.
  • Keep oversight on all scoutbee products, ensuring the delivery of a seamless and great user experience across all of them while ensuring the quality of design deliverables.
  • Effectively communicate and evangelize the customer and business value design brings throughout the organization with compelling storytelling.

Who you are

  • Operating across the entire design process from initial briefing to after delivery.
  • Taking full ownership and driving projects with autonomy.
  • Mentoring and having an impact on designers and you are comfortable helping others develop their product design expertise.
  • Proactive, creative, adaptable and comfortable working with uncertainty.
  • Strong team player and know that results come from people working together around meaningful ideas.
  • 10+ years of design experience.
  • Plus: you have experience with Design Systems.
  • Speaking English fluently. German is a plus.
