unu is an urban mobility brand based in Berlin. Our first product was the unu Scooter Classic, an electric scooter with portable batteries and was launched in 2014. Our products are sold both directly to consumers and business customers, making them accessible to everyone and resulting in fair prices by eluding dealership costs. In 2019, we launched the second generation of our scooter: The unu Scooter was designed inhouse and completely re-developed with our partners in Germany. The new scooter offers space for two people, as well as the largest storage space and one of the fastest acceleration values in the electric scooter segment. With its own app and integrated display, it also offers innovative smart features such as navigation, theft protection and digital key sharing.
After a successful rollout in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and France, unu is now expanding into further European countries.
With already more than 100 creative challengers striving for simply perfect solutions we are now looking for a strong Performance Marketing Manager to join the team in unu’s headquarter in Berlin. 


As Performance Marketing Manager at unu you control all paid digital marketing campaigns and channels set up to acquire and convert new leads and drive sales. You work extremely KPI driven and analytical. You constantly test, learn, and optimize funnels, and keep your peers always updated and informed. Not worthy to mention, you know your craft inside and out and are always one step ahead of the latest market trends.

You will work closely with brand and commercial marketing, design, web development, and business intelligence to develop and implement the performance marketing strategies for being one of the driving forces behind unu’s growth across markets.

Together with the CRM Manager, you form the growth marketing unit which is part of the central Marketing team closely collaborating with the local country organization. 


  • Grow lead & customer acquisition channels, ROI and improve CPL / CPO for PPC ads, display ads, remarketing and any other paid campaigns
  • Define funnels and optimize their efficiency and prioritize by business impact and scalability
  • Manage paid media across social media, YouTube, SEA and GDN for efficient campaign activations and content syndication
  • You know where to look (in GTM, Analytics, Pixels) to set up and find tracking issues. These you can formulate and fix, or address these to product managers for fix
  • Work with our BI team to define success metrics and inputs that show the impact of our programs
  • Drive website optimization efforts towards maximizing conversions
  • Setup and execute experimentation roadmaps and rigorous A/B testing agendas
  • You monitor and report constantly, inform stakeholders and drive and suggest opportunities and decision-making
  • Forming the growth marketing unit together with your direct peer, the CRM manager, you have a solid understanding of CRM and Salesforce, enabling you to collaboratively work on growth marketing initiatives

  • Secondly, you are passionate about our products and love good rides
  • Min. 3 years of experience in the field of online & performance marketing.
  • University degree in business administration, marketing, communication, advertising or other business studies
  • You have gained a deep understanding of how marketing channels work and how to best utilize these, are familiar with SEM, Social, display
  • You have hands on experience with Facebook and Google adsYou have a solid understanding of how marketing tracking and attribution work
  • You have experience in using Salesforce and a good general understanding of CRM
  • Proven track record of driving significant growth through the deployment of exceptional testing programs
  • Experience using analytics tools and platforms and are able to pull data and draw actionable insights
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills combined with strategy and planning capabilities
  • Comprehensive understanding of the current trends and technologies in online marketing
  • Ability to identify yourself with the user and relate to his / her experience within the user journey
  • Very precise, keen eye for detail
  • Fluency in English and German, with excellent oral and written communication skills - French and Dutch language skills are a big plus
