As People Manager you will closely work with the Head of HR and People Lead to support them for the whole operative processes regarding all personnel in the company. 

What you’ll do

  • Support the Head of HR and People Lead on the entire people´s lifecycle operations process from on-boarding to off-boarding.

  • Cooperate with the HR team to shape and drive the company's people strategy by initiating and leading strategic HR projects to create and support a healthy, happy place to work.

  • Take ownership of your own HR area while supporting the team in areas such as payroll, admin, Operations and Employer Branding.

  • Ensure that lifecycle processes are compliant with the company's internal policies as well as the German HR regulations.

  • Work in close cooperation with the Head of HR and People Lead to establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the company’s mission, branding and strategic vision for the global expansion of StudySmarter.

  • Further develop and optimise all personnel-related processes, HR tools and licenses.


What you need to succeed

  • You have significant experience in HR policy processes oversight such as coordinating benefits and managing absences such as leaves, attendance, vacations, etc.

  • You have at least 2 years of professional experience in HR operations processes.

  • You can work autonomously in the handling of all onboarding, offboarding and employee management requests.

  • You have experience both in German HR management as well as significant international HR management knowledge to support the global expansion of StudySmarter.

  • You are able to quickly adapt to ongoing change and fast-paced growth of the company and deliver high-quality results.

  • You are passionate about what you do and can bring fresh ideas on people team processes and Employer Branding strategies. 

  • You have strong interpersonal skills that allow you to understand employees’ needs and concerns to address them with targeted measures.

  • You are proficient in both German as well as in English.

  • Knowledge of the HR software Personio is an advantage.
