Payroll Partner

As a Payroll Partner in our newly created European Payroll team, you will report to the Head of Payroll for Europe and help shape this function! You will play an active part in preparing, reviewing and executing our monthly payroll for Germany, which includes over 900 employees across 3 legal entities. As the Payroll function grows, you will have an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise across additional EU markets whilst continuing to deliver the best experience for our employees. 

What you’ll do:

  • Execute payroll for several entities and troubleshoot any obstacles together with our external payroll provider
  • Support the EU payroll team with reviewing payroll results from different countries
  • Partner with different internal teams including Compensation & Benefits, People Operations and Accounting to ensure correct payroll runs
  • Support our employees with all enquiries related to payroll, such as change of tax class, certificate of employment, yearly income tax documents
  • Communicate with external providers, eg. health insurances, our pension provider, Agentur für Arbeit and tax offices 
  • Ensure employee personal data is kept up to date and track new & leaving employees as well as monthly variable data
  • Administer our payrolls and control incoming and outgoing payments
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance

You’ll be great for this role if:

  • You have experience working in German Payroll with knowledge of German employment law and social security
  • You are fluent in English and have German language skills to C1 level
  • You are an excellent communicator with active listening and interpersonal skills
  • You love working with people and care about great employee experience
  • You know how to prioritise to meet deadlines and know when to ask for support
  • You are able to work in a fast paced environment, where accuracy matters
