If you have previous experience in banking, finance or are simply interested in a career in the ever-evolving world of payments this might be your team. Payment Operations team ensure that all the merchants using the Sum Up platform receive their payouts on time.

In this position You’ll:

  • Manage and lead a team of Payment Operations agents.  
  • Communicate company goals and deadlines to the team.  
  • Motivate team members and assess performance.  
  • Provide help to management, including hiring and training, and keep management updated on team performance.  
  • Be responsible for special projects related to the operational needs of the team
  • Be the main point of escalation, both internally for the analysts and externally for other stakeholders
  • Stay updated with the ongoing payment trends. Identification and reporting to the Payment Operations Manager and liaise with the Trainer/QA and the Project manager.
  • Liaise with members of all operational teams as required;
  • To be ambassador of SumUp’s culture and values and to lead by example 

Your profile:

  • You have 3-5 years of experience in a payments role, ideally within the financial services industry and leadership experience
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills - the ability to truly empathise with and get the most out of your team members is key.
  • You have effective stakeholder management skills, as well as the capacity for making data-driven decisions.
  • You weigh up options and produce practical and workable solutions.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • You are a big picture visionary who truly cares about Merchant and People Experience.
  • Proficiency in English at working level
