Who we’re looking for 
In order to keep up the pace with our growth, the Consumer Banking team, based in Berlin, needs a creative copywriter who can mainly create and execute campaigns based on brand concepts, and be responsible for all domain propositions and English copy. 

What you will do
Like everyone at Klarna, we expect you to roll up your sleeves. No job is too big, no job is too small. You’ll play an important role in developing concepts and executing ideas for marketing campaigns, product launches and activations. In collaboration with product marketers and domain teams you’ll be building and enriching the Klarna brand by creating internal strategic copy like value propositions and copy packs for our services. You should also be able to write a social media post and banner ads, all the way up to creating briefs and lead creatives and production agencies. To ensure a smoooth consumer journey, you’ll be collaborating with UX writers and designers to achieve clarity, quality, and creativity across all touchpoints.

Who you are
You should know your skills, since you'll be doing hands on work from the get-go. That means we expect you to have completed at least 5 years in the trade—preferably at a creative agency—and that you really feel that you can contribute to our future growth. You’re comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively, and you’re experienced in creative ideation and campaign thinking. Since we constantly test and measure our campaigns in order to get the most of them, your creative skills must be on par with your ambition to measure, follow-up, iterate or maybe even start over completely.

We expect you to

  • Write creative copy and content with well thought through execution
  • Continually test and improve our communication and challenge convention
  • Push the envelope with groundbreaking creative concepts for both small and potentially bigger prospects
  • Collaborate with local teams to ensure message and tonality are consistent
  • Support Growth teams and Brand Studio with conceptual work for our services
  • Guide and collaborate with markets for product and campaign launches
  • Write and review the consistency of all consumer-facing
  • English copy across different touchpoints

You should have

  • 5+ years of professional writing experience in English
  • Excellent grammar skills
  • Demonstrated ability in creative writing
  • Strong ability to simplify
  • Experience with translating tonality across languages and cultures
  • Experience with leading agency work and projects
  • Good listener and understanding for cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to proactively prioritize, manage and complete multiple projects within time constraints and with strong attention to detail
  • A positive, go-getter attitude; passion for storytelling and helping build a growing brand
