Marketing and Communication Specialist

SumUp is a team of more than 3,000 people in 15 offices spread all over the world, including our tribe of 200 SumUppers divided between Paris, London, Berlin, Barcelona and Milan. 

 

To support our fast growth, we are looking for a Communications & Marketing Specialist to join our office in Milan ! 

 

  • Along with the lead brand & marketing, you will participate in shaping communication and marketing strategy and delivering key messages on the different touch points : social media, digital, newsletters, emailings, sms, OOH, radio, print, TV… 
  • You will ensure good execution of the global strategy in your market, coordinating with the internal teams (country manager, growth manager, traffic manager, designers, content manager, product marketing) and external (PR agencies, journalists, freelancers, creative agencies...) 
  • You will own the content roadmap, create, manage and distribute sharp and engaging content for owned, earned and paid media: website, long form content, social and editorial.
  • As an owner of the Brand tone of voice, you will review, proofread and localize content while ensuring its quality. 
  • You will be expected to take a creative approach to our content to ensure a mix of cold & hot content within a wide variety of publications, to broaden our audience, always carrying the SumUp tone of voice.
  • You will be responsible for monitoring the local social media channels, managing day to day interactions with your local community and creating suitable content to grow the community. 
  • Elaborate content and communication tools for internal company purposes (newsletters, events flyers…)
  • Finally, as a valued Brand ambassador and as a communication professional, you will aim at enforcing SumUp culture and spreading our Brand values internally and externally. 

Important to know : travels to SumUp Paris will be arranged once every 3 months.

 

 

A little more about you : 

 

+3 years of experience** with a first experience in digital marketing and content management, working on 360° projects that involve website management, social media channels, events roll out, marketing collateral, product/software wordings, creative content, etc.

 

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- A strong appetite for B2B content Marketing

- Knowledge of online tools wordpress, content management systems), social media & marketing trends, including SEO.

- Excellent analytical skills to understand the performance of your actions (when measurable) 

- Problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail

- Experience working in the tech ecosystem for SaaS companies & a start-up environment

- Social media management will make a big difference for us

- Italian native and fluency in English language (French would be a very welcome plus!) 

- Proactive by nature, curious and eager to learn 

- Ability to think out of the box & come up with creative ideas

- Team oriented & problem solver mindset

Interview process

 

  • First interview : pre-qualification (15 mins)  
  • Second interview : technical test with Lead Brand & Marketing (45 mins) 
  • Final interview : culture fit with VP Brand & Marketing and one of our co-founders
