Legal Counsel

As scoutbee Legal Counsel, you are the first point of contact for our management team and business partners. Providing legal support in contract negotiations with customers and suppliers. You will accompany your colleagues in bid and contract processes as well as in the handling of larger projects. You will also provide legal advice and guidance to the team throughout the product development process. This will involve consideration of a wide variety of issues from GDPR/data protection compliance to copyright laws to platform trust & safety.

 

Your role in our beehive 

  • Preparation of commercial law documents and management of projects in the area of corporate and compliance.
  • Management and support of complex cross-divisional ad-hoc projects and solution-oriented consulting on various legal and regulatory issues.
  • Creation, maintenance and enhancement of data protection notices, principles, instructions and guidelines. Ensuring GDPR compliance for contract data processors. Responsibility for data protection declaration and list of service providers.
  • Drafting, review and negotiation of different types of contracts in various areas (partnership / IT / service contracts etc.). Coordination and management of external legal advisors.
  • Creation, review and implementation of internal policies and guidelines.
  • Responsible for ensuring and protecting our intellectual property and data.
  • Responsible for all commercial contracts first and for most software as a service as well as licensing agreements in Europe and the U.S.

What you bring to our beehive 

  • You have a university degree in business law, law or economics or a comparable degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the practice of corporate law. Focus: commercial law, property rights, software contracts and licenses, are preferred.
  • Proven ability to communicate, present and influence with key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • You have a good understanding of IT processes and IT technologies and are experienced with MS Office applications
  • Excellent knowledge of German and English.
