Your Mission
As a Lead Data Engineer at Adsquare, you are mentoring and leading a team, which is responsible for building our massively scalable data infrastructure and smart data products. You are coaching your team members and together with our product team you will shape the future of Adsquare’s data products.
In this role you will:
build an appreciative and trustworthy connection with each of your team members, who are data and cloud enthusiasts just like you
design, build, and standardise privacy-first big data architectures, large scale data pipelines, and advanced analytics solutions in AWS
successfully partner up with our Product and Ops teams to deliver the data required to fuel our products
review existing data applications and architecture, identify and implement improvements, automate and optimising data delivery for even greater scalability and reliability
build a self organized cross-functional agile team with high level of autonomy
Your Profile
You have significant experience with Python and Java or a other JVM language
Proficiency in NoSQL and SQL databases and in high-throughput data-related architecture and technologies (e.g. Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, MongoDB, AWS Batch, AWS Glue)
You are proficient in Apache Spark
Experience working cross-functional agile teams
Excellent communication skills and willingness to mentor your team
A data visionary with a hands-on mentality
Proven track record of delivering data science projects from prototype to value generating product
Team Lead experience is a plus - otherwise we are happy to get you there
