We are looking for a Key Account Manager who will help us build and manage relationships with top-tier clients and maximize sales opportunities through expansion of current customers.    
As a B2B marketplace, we acquire and serve scientists & purchasers by empowering them to identify optimal products among all vendors, handling their orders, optimizing purchasing processes and delivering best customer services. We are searching for outstanding individuals to acquire new entire accounts targeting scientists & purchasers for our marketplace, and develop existing accounts in close collaboration with the entire sales team and the Chief Revenue Officer.

Your Tasks

  • Find, drive and close new clients and business
  • Own and achieve monthly sales, Gross Merchandise Revenue (GMR) targets
  • Sell solutions and services to new & existing customers by phone and in face-to-face meetings
  • Prepare and deliver demonstrations of business solutions to prospective customers (Purchasing, Contracting, Scientists, Lab Managers, IT, Operations)
  • Develop customer relationships and identify new opportunities to deliver the Zageno solution
  • Perform customer account analyses, set targets, and translate into sales planning and execution
  • Collaborate with other commercial functions –sales, integration, marketing, customer service, content, technology, founders – to drive our collective success
  • Reports to the Vice President Sales

Your Profile

  • Greater than 5 years of experience in life sciences, digital sales, e.g., SAAS, B2B customer acquisition and business development  
  • Ideal markets: Academia, Biotech, Pharma, Government, Applied Markets, Diagnostics, CRO’s
  • Independent, self-starter, a proven track record of strong revenue growth, account acquisition, and development
  • Develop sales acquisition & development strategy
  • You as a sales professional should be prepared to not only work towards sales targets but plan and shape them
  • Competitive commercial driven mindset
  • Highly proficient in both spoken and written English
  • Biology experience is not a requirement but preferred
