Internal Communications Specialist

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an internal communications manager, you will develop and implement sennder’s internal communications strategies and convey our culture, values, and programs aiming to ensure all employees stay informed, engaged, and empowered.  Your responsibilities include collaborating closely with the marketing and people teams specifically in order to keep the sennder family all over the world informed of the strategy, results, and ambitions of the company while optimizing our content and channels to help drive business results.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL…

  • Manage strategy, content, execution and cadence of major announcements, launches, and internal events.
  • Partner with executives to drive thought leadership and change management efforts within their teams and the rest of the company.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and develop new communications programs and strategy to uplevel internal communications and improve processes for more proactive, clear and succinct communications.
  • Create content for our internal platform, highlighting our culture and diverse teams. 
  • Act as the first point of contact on internal communications, providing advice and support on messaging and best practices.
  • Support communications for company acquisitions and mergers.

 

PREFERABLY YOU HAVE…

  • At least 4 years of experience within internal communications with a focus on employee engagement and driving strategy.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related field.
  • Experience translating complex ideas into simple, authentic, and compelling communications and fluidly navigating between strategy and execution.
  • Solution focus, and drive to constantly look for ways to improve our mission to deliver an amazing employee experience.
  • Creative and a strategic mindset. You're a storyteller with strong writing and editing skills who can communicate what we need employees to know.
  • A  growth mindset with excitement for experimenting, iteration and improvement.
  • Flexibility and ability to ruthlessly prioritize and juggle multiple high-level initiatives.
