Internal Communications Manager

As part of our Employer Branding team, you’ll be involved in creating content and driving initiatives which attract the best new talent and keep our current SumUppers connected. We’re currently a team of people from 5 different countries, with backgrounds in Employer Brand, Marketing, Content and Design. 

We’re split across 2 main locations – Berlin and Sofia, and we’re key supporters of SumUp’s ongoing growth, helping stakeholders such as Talent Acquisition approach their hiring needs in an agile manner.  

What you’ll do

  • Lead and execute internal communications activities proactively and reactively 
  • Build partnerships with key internal stakeholders and work successfully in a matrix organisation 
  • Prepare messaging and other internal materials such as posts, presentations and briefings
  • Develop frameworks, guidelines and templates that empower SumUppers’ internal communication strategy and execution. 
  • Be a champion for our current communications tools: Slack, Zoom, Confluence, Jira, and Marketing cloud. 
  • Collaborate in the implementation of an Internal Communication action plan:  Celebration framework development, Tooling review, Communications Framework development

You’ll be great for this role if

  • You have 4+ years of hands-on internal communications and community management experience with a proven track record in growing a brand’s social media presence.
  • You have exceptional writing, grammar and copywriting skills in English and a keen visual sense on aesthetic best practices for images and video across social channels.
  • You have a strategic understanding of different communications platforms such as Slack, Confluence, Jira, Marketing Cloud and Zoom. 
  • You possess a founder’s mentality; we’re looking for self-starters that are excited to experiment and proactively drive projects.
  • Any experience working with People/Employer Branding teams would be a plus.
