At Personio you will have a direct impact on our product, our users, our organization, and our engineering practices. 

This UX Research Internship will allow you to work creatively and strategically in supporting the researcher and product designers of the Recruiting Tribe. Your work will help the team develop empathy for users and negotiate design solutions in relation to our business goals. Help execute, collect data, and analyze generative user research studies, while also learning about other user experience and research practices. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in exploring or jumpstarting a career in tech, particularly in digital product design. Expect opportunities for hands-on experiences and active mentorship. 

Your tasks and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Conducting desk research including competitive analyses. 
• Managing communication with research participants and scheduling sessions. 
• Taking detailed notes during research sessions.
• Analyzing session outcomes, identifying insights, and synthesizing results.
• Developing and managing deliverables such as user journeys, customer experience maps, and personas. 
• Presenting findings to stakeholders and other audiences.
• Organizing project files and improving processes.

What you need to succeed

• You are a registered student or have recently completed your studies.
• Ideally, you already have some practical experience in User Experience Design, Product Management, Project Management, or Customer Service/Support.
• You are curious, have a hunger to learn, and willing to take direction
• You enjoy talking to people. 
• You are characterized by a strong sense of accountability and ownership. 
• Your work style is meticulous and you don’t mind managing administrative tasks.
• You are fluent in English (additional fluency in German, Spanish, or Dutch is a plus). 
• You are able to work at least 30 hours a week for 4-6 months (ideally longer).
