Head of Marketing m/f/d

As a Head of Marketing you will have the following responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy:

  • Own the company’s overall marketing strategy
  • Enhance our acquisition marketing strategy and find the right mix between our multiple organic (blog and social media channels) and paid (e.g. Facebook, Google Ads, LinkedIn, affiliation and others) acquisition channels to attract tech talent
  • Apply a compelling brand story across our marketing channels and ensure our developer community always feels seen and understood.

Tools and Processes:

  • Improve our engagement and conversion metrics throughout the marketing funnel by running tests and using the results to craft data-driven strategy updates that lift key performance metrics (Talent Acquisition costs)
  • Manage tracking, reporting, and analysis to draw insights and continually optimize marketing activities based on data insights

Organizational Structure:

  • Take over responsibility for Performance and Content Marketing
  • Take ownership of our reputation and recognition including our Brand
  • Establish a Marketing Operations function to fully leverage talent, processes and technology
  • Build, manage and develop a growing organization of 8 motivated marketing specialists

What we are looking for (must-haves):

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in managing marketing teams and in-depth understanding of marketing functions (Performance & Content, Marketing Operations, Brand Development & PR)
  • Track record in refining and executing cross-channel growth strategies
  • Exposure to content marketing (knowledge of production, SEO, social media)
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to successfully partner with multiple internal and external stakeholders in a matrix (especially with our Product, Talent Success and data team)
  • A growth mindset: a systematic approach to conducting experiments and finding levers that will improve KPIs.
  • You are reliable, results-driven, highly analytical but also creative and a strong communicator.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in SaaS or marketplace businesses
  • Experience in developing and managing communities, brand strategy or editorial strategy
  • Exposure to Google Analytics, GTM, and a general understanding of data integration, tracking technologies, and tools
  • Good command of German and Dutch
