Clue is a VC backed startup based in Berlin helping over 13 million people each month get insights into their reproductive health via our Android and iOS Apps. We collaborate with world-leading universities and institutes to advance female health research with our dataset, and deliver essential education about health, periods, and sex via our website, helloclue.com.

The role:

This is an exciting moment at Clue, as we set the course for exponential growth in several markets and geographies at a time. We are launching a new cornerstone product, and are seizing the momentum to strengthen our value proposition and expand our reach into new customer segments. 

As the Head of Brand Strategy and Brand Development, you will be both the guardian of our core values and the force that helps us evolve our positioning. Your main missions will be:

  • Develop our sensors on future markets and customer interests, and translate those into actionable insights for Marketing and Product
  • Facilitate the strategy process within the organization, acting as both an incubator and driver for growth
  • Analyse the competitive landscape and advise the leadership on market dynamics & changes to help identify new brand & business opportunities 
  • Identify and define strategic partnerships with direct-to-consumer brands that align with our vision, mission, and brand and develop collaborations that have the potential to move the needle and make a real impact
  • Develop our Brand Architecture, and guide our thinking around target groups
  • Ensure that our brand identity shines through all our activities, finds its expression in our messaging and is felt across the customer journeys
  • Establish our consumer partnerships strategy: identifying the best matches, developing impactful scopes and building strong relationships
  • Dive into data to measure results and drive decisions
  • Facilitate strategic team workshops and document outcomes
  • Build and report quarterly on clue’s strategic performance 
  • Co-create together with the senior management key business documents for investors and business partners 
  • Mentor team members on business acumen and systemic thinking

About you:

  • 6+ years of experience in Brand Strategy
  • Experience in translating a positioning into messaging, customer interaction, UX and product design 
  • Understanding of the main marketing channels and functions such as content, lifecycle / CRM, performance marketing 
  • Hands-on mentality as well as creative problem solving abilities
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder and project management skills
  • Comfort in commercial and legal negotiations and considerations
  • Strong experience in Business Development of a BtoC product or in the health sector is a plus
  • Experience in partnership strategy is a plus
  • Fuent in English, with additional languages a plus
