Are you ready to work hands on on a wide set of tasks ranging from conformity assessment, project coordination, product testing all the way to influencing the system design? As a Hardware Quality Engineer, you will work as an integral part of our Design and Engineering Team together with Designers, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers ensuring the highest quality and safety in the development and production of our Indoor Mapping Mobile Systems.

You will work on:

  • Ensuring efficient and effective creation and maintenance of compliance and certification
  • Reviewing harmonized standards for our Indoor Mobile Mapping Systems
  • Working across teams to ensure effective compliance implementation plans relating to product safety, certification and environment & waste
  • Liaising with and training our relevant departments at NavVis to maintain sufficient levels of awareness and capability relating to compliance and certification requirements
  • Conducting recurring technical checks of our production line to ensure the compliance with the relevant directives
  • Executing operative quality checks for our hardware product

You have:

  • A degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, Computer Science or a related field
  • 2 years professional experience in development, quality management or certification coordination in a related field of technology
  • Knowledge of the corresponding European and/or US laws and regulations (e.g. product safety, EMC, radio equipment)
  • Beneficial: Knowledge of regulations of other countries (e.g. China, Japan, Canada, etc.)
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and in best case experience in executing tests according to those standards
  • Experience in the creation of risk assessments and CE-documentation
  • Experience in communication with test houses and setting up testing plans

You are:

  • Able to communicate and coordinate within a multidisciplinary team (hardware and software developers, supply chain, production management and mechanics) along with external suppliers
  • Structured and self-managed in your way of working
  • Keen on working in a creative Design and Engineering Team
  • Fluent in English and German
