Your Role

We’re looking for a skilled Freelance Engineering Manager to join our cross-functional team where you will:

  • Build and lead an autonomous, high performing cross-functional team of around 8-10 iOS, Android, Frontend, Backend, and QA engineers
  • Work closely with other development teams, product teams, and data teams to work in sync to create some exciting cool features
  • Constantly raise the bar on user and customer experiences
  • Be representative of the team and accountable for the technical and delivery outcomes of the team
  • Demonstrate impact through developing the people, as well as the organization

Your Profile

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing a cross-functional team, preferably in a technology company and/or in the healthcare industry, and be a creative thinker who thrives on owning the process from start to finish. Additionally, the candidate will bring:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in leading diverse teams in an international environment with a strong focus on quality
  • Must have experience with at least one of the technologies we use Java, Swift, Typescript, or Kotlin.
  • A healthy approach to giving and receiving actionable, constructive feedback
  • Focus and ability to prioritize your workload using business data and metrics
  • Solid experience in communicating with various stakeholders and functions across the whole organization
  • Growth mindset and ability to quickly adapt to change and have proven in previous leadership roles that you have excellent problem solving critical thinking and communication skills
  • Fluent English skills
  • Have working visa/permit for Germany
