What will you do

As the Founding Cloud Engineer (m/f/d), you’ll work closely with the CTO to build up Software Engineering and shape a scalable architecture that enables rapid feature development. You will be involved in the entire development lifecycle from concept to implementation, using React, TypeScript, and Python. • Shape our early-stage product, architecture, toolchain, and development practices.

  • Develop our cloud-native backend based on continuous customer feedback, data analysis, and product requirements.

  • Design and implement APIs, automate your serverless infrastructure setup, and build scalable event-driven systems

  • Continuously monitor the serverless infrastructure and tune it for scalability and cost-efficiency.

  • Keep the technical debt low with test automation and writing well-structured and clean code.

  • Hire engineers and support them in their growth.

  • Learn new things every day and share your knowledge with the team and the outside world.

  • You are comfortable managing infrastructure as code, preferably with CDK or Terraform.

  • You work collaboratively with your colleagues and consider what is best for the team. You have exceptional communication skills and can work effectively in a distributed team and a remote-first environment. You value diversity and inclusion.

  • You think creatively, are solution-oriented, adaptable to change, and strive to learn continuously.

  • You lead with empathy, feel joy in supporting your fellow team members, and have an outstanding judgment in finding talented engineers that match our culture.
