As the Finance Controller you would be working directly with the finance and accounting team of Colombia, as well as being the pivot point for providing info and insights regarding controlling and accounting to support both operations and strategy.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with the Accounting Hub in Chile
  • Oversees the timely and accurate submissions of monthly management accounts
  • Review month-end trial balances variance analysis for the material movements in the reporting month/quarter/year compared to prior periods
  • Prepare local/statutory and GRP under IFRS and/or local GAAP
  • Oversee the timely and accurate submissions of annual financial statements per legal entity
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements
  • Review significant contracts and assess correctness of accounting records
  • Key liaison between FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Technical Accounting, Internal and External Audit teams
  • Work closely with FP&A and Controlling Process owners
  • Lead and assist annual standalone audits
  • Participate in the review of annual CIT return for the entities in scope
  • Tax planning supporting role
  • Oversee annual closing activities applicable for the legal entities in scope
  • Reviewing Control Self-Assessment testing results for the relevant legal entities to identify and rectify any potential or existing weaknesses
  • Support due due diligence, tax and internal restructuring projects
  • Participate in discussions and workshops
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

You’ll be great for this role if

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Accounting is required
  • Minimum of 5 + years experience required in financial controlling
  • Robust knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks/initiatives, and meet established deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Result oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Advanced personal computer skills i.e. MS Office, Google Docs
  • Data driven mindset and modelling experience
  • Advanced experience and knowledge of SAP is a plus. 
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken
