About the Role

ZAGENO is looking for an experienced Director of Strategic Partnerships to join our team! While our international team is located in both Cambridge, MA, and Berlin, Germany, this role will be based in Cambridge, MA, and report to our SVP of Partnerships & Alliances. In this role, you will:

  • Lead sales efforts with ZAGENO’s largest and most strategic suppliers, owning a book of business and a sales quota that will be critical to ZAGENO’s continued successful growth
  • Own relationships with billion-dollar multinational companies with targets to close millions of dollars of annual revenue for ZAGENO:
    • Develop internal business cases
    • Navigate complex partner organizations
    • Present pitches
    • Negotiate commercial terms and legal agreements
    • Close contracts
  • Identify opportunities for ZAGENO to develop new service offerings to serve large suppliers
  • Evangelize ZAGENO’s vision for bringing innovative solutions to the market and align partners to that vision
  • Build off your success with large suppliers to own other forms of strategic partnerships for ZAGENO, including lab incubators, venture capitalists, and technology providers

About You

  • An accomplished business development professional with a track record of closing high-impact deals
  • An athlete with the ability to toggle between a toolkit of strategic, analytical problem solving and a hunter’s aggressive approach to closing deals
  • A tech enthusiast who thrives in the environment of a tech startup and likes building deep expertise in the product he/she is selling
  • A highly organized approach to managing a pipeline of business
  • A leader with enthusiasm for growing with the business, potentially down an enterprise sales path or into BD leadership
  • Experience in biotech or pharma and/or supply chain/procurement is ideal but not required
  • MBA preferred but not required
