Comtravo - Empowering Purposeful Business Travel

We are a team of travel experts, tech enthusiasts, and customer support heroes – with the shared purpose to simplify business travel. Comtravo provides small and medium-sized companies with a truly unique travel solution. Travelers or travel managers can book and manage their business trips with one simple text message. Using state-of-the-art technologies, such as NLP and machine learning techniques, we are automating our fulfillment pipeline. This enables our in-house travel experts to focus on complex requests and the individual needs of our clients.  

Our tech stack:  

The backend is primarily built in Node.js / Typescript and consists of around 20 major RESTful services plus ~ 60 microservices. We make heavy use of Docker and Terraform and are running on AWS. Services are coupled by events and run on AWS ECS and Lambda. We invest heavily in shared components, libraries, automated tests, monitoring, and sane interfaces. Together with a strong CI/CD pipeline, we are able to release many times per day to production.

YOUR TASKS

  • Develop and optimize our build system based on Docker, Jenkins, and AWS
  • Optimize our production, test, and development infrastructure (Docker, ECS, Terraform)
  • Optimize our logging, monitoring, and alerting systems (Cloudwatch, ES)
  • Manage and build the solutions from 3rd party productsYou will help to optimize CI/CD pipelines 
  • You will solve the infrastructure and cloud management related challenges 
  • You will fine-tune and optimize the performance of our systems

YOUR PROFILE

  • Solid background knowledge in Computer Science (Data Structures, Algorithms, Design Patterns, Scaling)
  • Decent working knowledge of Linux (you should be familiar with bash, ssh, netstat, syslog, upstart/system etc.)·
  • Computer networking fundamentals
  • Familiarity with programming in either Node.js or Python
  • Familiarity with git
  • Knowledge of relevant technologies like Docker, Terraform, IaC, AWS, Jenkins is a big plus
