About the Role

We are on the lookout for a Devops Engineer. If you have a passion for technology, get things done and own what you build, question the status quo, who likes to work in an interdisciplinary role, then look no further!

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Work with CI and CD using tools like Jenkins and Kubernetes
  • Work with monitoring tools like DataDog and Elasticsearch
  • Work with cloud platforms (Google Cloud experience is a plus)
  • Implement infrastructure as a code
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team
Some of the things you will experience and work with:
 
  • Large scale python environment, deployment, and testing
  • Automation (python + shell scripts) as key to qualitatively scaling our team
  • A continuous delivery infrastructure on the cloud (Jenkins is our friend)
  • How to store, perform queries & reports, and manage big data on/to different data sources ( BigQuery, ElasticSearch, Postgres, our data warehouse)
  • All of the technologies we use. While each of us focuses on specific areas, we help each other and learn from each other
Technologies & programming languages we use
 
  • Python 3.6, Postgres 9.6, ElasticSearch 5.3, Django 1.11, Redis 3.2, Less CSS, and a super minimal JS library (a usable backend trumps a shiny frontend).

About You

  • You are willing to work with a set of different technologies and tools
  • You are comfortable writing configurations for various tools
  • You are willing to learn new tools and tech and maybe even derive pleasure from it
  • You must have used cloud computing technologies professionally for the last 3 years
  • You understand the ins and outs of what you are talking about. You don't settle for "well it works now", but try to understand why it works or why it doesn't.
  • You can analyze, plan and execute product developments
