About the role

As an Interaction Designer at Klarna, you will be responsible for driving the vision for user experience and raising the bar and quality of design. You will be part of one of the  multidisciplinary teams who build products and features in our payment ecosystem.

In Klarna, teams are dedicated to solving unique problems, some focusing on the pre and post-purchase experience. As a designer, you will oversee the design vision and execution for one of these problem spaces and work cross-functionally, delivering an exceptional user-experience to define the way people shop with Klarna.

About Klarna Design

Klarna design is made of multi-disciplinary teams including not only Product Designers, but also UX Researchers, UX Writers, Design Operations Coordinators and other professionals that elevate and develop the design competence in the company. They possess a clear vision for building a strong community who has passion and drive the culture above and beyond.

What you will do

  • Defining and executing the vision of payment-related user experiences. 
  • Using user-centered methods, you will craft industry-leading products – from concept to execution. 
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of designers, engineers, product managers, content strategists and researchers. 
  • Be an advocate for the user experience, articulating your decisions to influence product development at all stages.
  • Own and be responsible for product discovery, running workshops and managing stakeholders to achieve common goals. 
  • Execute design from early ideation, visual design, through handover to engineers and making sure the implementation is perfect.

Who you are

  • 5+ years of relevant design experience in digital products.
  • Working proficiency and strong communication skills in verbal and written English.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams: designer, engineers, marketing, research, content and product.
  • Great understanding of visual harmony, information hierarchy and design patterns.
  • Proficient with industry standard design tools.
  • Self-motivated and autonomous, able to prioritize and manage multiple project deadlines.
  • Comfortable communicating and speaking about product strategy, design goals and execution.
  • Fluent with different level of prototyping tools such as Invision and Protopie.
