Creative Product Manager - Consumer Goods (m/f/d)

The Creative Product Manager will have full responsibility for building new design concepts such as colours, materials, shapes, etc. to incorporate these into our product portfolio of all brands following our brand’s identity in different categories. This role is part of our product management team that drives product innovations, -design and -development as well as an efficient product sourcing and timely new product launches meeting our customer needs.

Your responsibilities

  • You build up the strategic assortment based on market/channel trends [design, colours, materials] for your categories.
  • You screen and analyse the market of current and future potentials and risks and identify trends and new designs with quick adaption to our product portfolio for your categories.
  • You perform competitor landscape analysis in terms of design and curated approaches for your categories.
  • You create a material pool and ensure it is being rolled out over your product groups.
  • You give the framework to commercial product management & Hongkong office to ensure suppliers following the material, design & colour guidelines.
  • You visit various fairs e.g. design, material etc.
  • You adapt given unified colour board which matches with CI and roll it out in new sourced items & curated landing pages for your categories.
  • You constantly evaluate and monitor category/ item performance of relevant aspects [materials, colours, designs etc..] for your categories.
  • You are the point of contact for external inquiries e.g. PR agencies, journalists, design cooperation companies, and fashion partners.
  • You are the point of contact for internal inquiries e.g. legal inquiries (design protection; end customer lawsuits, etc.) and conduct workshops.
  • You gather & evaluate customer feedback [e.g. net promoter score [NPS], focus groups, product sponsorship].

Your profile

  • You have more than 4 years of professional experience as a Product Designer, Product (Marketing) Manager and a bachelor's degree in design or a comparable professional experience.
  • You have an outstanding portfolio with a focus on design, user experience and / or visual design for products and experience with the successful use of design thinking techniques, design sprints and usability testing.
  • Your distinctive communication skills will help you coordinate with your team, internal and external stakeholders and enable you to present problems and technical issues in a target group-oriented manner.
  • You present and communicate your designs and concepts to stakeholders and can defend the design decisions or clearly present their advantages and disadvantages.
  • You are experienced in working with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, CAD-Software.
