Job description

As a Country Manager (m/w/d) you build up and grow our international footprint in the Nordics to support Personio becoming the leading cloud-based HR Management, Recruiting and Payroll software for SMEs in Europe. You will create first milestones for Personio and become a pioneer in transforming HR for SMEs across the Nordics region.

Your tasks and responsibilities 

  • Develop market intelligence by conducting research on market, competition and customers and build up a network in the local HR ecosystem and SME community through engaging with local media, events or potential partners 

  • Define and execute a go-to-market strategy and test different channels to generate early traction

  • Build up an initial customer base, research and understand customer requirements to constantly optimize efforts across all markets 

  • Learn and exchange best practices with fellow Country Manager and other startups that had successful market entries in the Nordics

  • You will start with support by the central functions in the HQ but as soon as we have a working model and first proven positive results you will be given great autonomy to build up processes and the team necessary to help Personio succeed in this new market

Your profile

  • You have 5+ years of experience in sales and/ or business development with a strong international background and you ́re willing and able to personally deliver the critical early sales - calling, pitching and negotiating

  • You have a background in B2B SaaS or at a forward-thinking technology firm

  • You have resided in the Nordics for several years and have developed a strong understanding of the local culture and business environment 

  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and want to get things done. You are driven by impact, want to be measured by results and you are not afraid to make mistakes: You fail but you learn from them

  • You are able to work independently and you are a team player

  • You are ready to travel between the Nordics and Munich frequently

  • You demonstrate great presentation and communication skills in written and spoken Swedish, Norwegian or Danish as well as in English
