About the Role

We are seeking an experienced commercial attorney to focus on revenue, transactions and compliance. This challenging role will encompass a wide range of legal matters, especially contract review and negotiation with customers of a fast-growing, international technology company. You will be a trusted legal advisor who will provide legal support to our Finance, Sales, and Customer Success teams.

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, pragmatic team player who enjoys tackling complex challenges. Furthermore, you are analytically strong and have excellent communication skills.

In this role you will:
  • Actively review, negotiate, draft and advise MSA’s, SaaS licensing agreements, DPA’s, NDA’s, supplier agreements, and other commercial agreements as needed
  • Be aware of (new) laws and regulations and ensure their implementation and ensure that the business has access to the correct information
  • Resolve legal issues and contract interpretation matters that arise in existing commercial relationships
  • Be our legal advisor for all legal cases with commercial relationships. Act as a liaison between the company and third parties to come up with a suitable solution
  • Help support the compliance function to develop, implement and improve processes with regards to compliance & risk management
  • Perform analysis and provide guidance on company transactions as well as new go-to-market products
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify risk and define strategies for mitigation
  • Ad hoc tasks/projects that arise as the company grows

About You

  • Master degree in Law, accredited U.S. law degree, and a current law license
  • 5-7 years of revenue law with a big law firm or as in-house counsel at a global technology company, compliance experience a plus
  • Experience drafting, negotiating, and providing guidance on a wide variety of agreements 
  • Ability to work independently, find creative solutions that mitigate risk
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex, legal topics and suitable solutions in a clear and simple way
  • Strong negotiation skills to ensure contracts are reviewed from a legal, risk management and business perspective
  • Strong interest and affinity with software, eCommerce and/or life science industry
